What is SmartBuy?

SmartBuy is the Woermann Brock loyalty programme that rewards members with SmartBuy Points on qualifying purchases and promotions. SmartBuy Points can be used as discounts on future qualifying purchases at participating Woermann Brock stores.

As a SmartBuy member, you can also receive exclusive offers, enter selected competitions automatically, purchase SmartBuy Points, transfer points to other members, and receive promotional updates from time to time.

General FAQ

What is the value of 1 SmartBuy Point?

1 SmartBuy Point = 1 Namibian cent.

Example:
1,095 points = N$10.95


How many points do I earn on my purchases?

Points are awarded based on qualifying products, quantities purchased, promotional activities, and other factors determined by the SmartBuy programme. The points system is automated and secure.


How do I register?

You can register at any Woermann Brock branch. Simply ask a manager, supervisor, or cashier for assistance.


What do I need to register?

No ID is required.

You only need:

  • Full name and surname

  • Mobile number


How long until my card is active?

Most cards are activated immediately upon registration.

In some cases, registrations may be referred to the SmartBuy Support Office for verification and activation. Support is available during office hours, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00.


How do I check my points balance?

You can view your balance and transaction history on the SmartBuy Member Portal:

Any cashier at a participating Woermann Brock store can also assist you.


Can I earn points without presenting my SmartBuy card?

No. Your SmartBuy card or registered profile must be presented at the time of purchase in order to earn points. Points cannot be added retrospectively.


What happens if the system is offline?

Your purchase will still be processed. Qualifying SmartBuy transactions will be uploaded and processed once the system becomes available again.


Do I receive my points immediately after purchase?

Points may take up to 24 hours to appear on the system.

Earned Points become available for use on the 15th of each month.

Bonus Points and Purchased Points are generally available immediately.


Do SmartBuy Points expire?

Earned Points expire annually on 31 May.

Bonus Points may carry specific expiry dates depending on the promotion.

Purchased Points do not expire.

Expiry dates may be amended from time to time and will be communicated through SmartBuy channels.


Can I purchase SmartBuy Points?

Yes.

SmartBuy Points can be purchased at any Woermann Brock till and are added directly to your SmartBuy profile.

Purchased Points do not expire.


Can I send SmartBuy Points to another member?

Yes.

Available SmartBuy Points may be transferred to another registered SmartBuy member through approved SmartBuy channels, subject to programme rules.

Initial Launch Offer: Transfer SmartBuy Points for only 1 cent per N$10 transferred.

Examples:

  • Transfer N$100 worth of points = Transfer fee of 10 cents

  • Transfer N$500 worth of points = Transfer fee of 50 cents

  • Transfer N$1,000 worth of points = Transfer fee of N$1.00

Woermann Brock reserves the right to amend transfer fees and promotional offers from time to time.


What if someone else uses my points?

Please treat your SmartBuy card and profile details with the same care you would give any valuable personal item.

Members are responsible for the safekeeping of their cards and account information. Woermann Brock cannot be held responsible for unauthorised use resulting from lost cards, shared information, or insufficient security precautions.


What if I lose my card?

Please report the loss as soon as possible to your nearest Woermann Brock branch or SmartBuy Support.

What if my card's barcode becomes unreadable?

A replacement card can be issued at a participating Woermann Brock store.


What is the difference between the SmartBuy card and the SmartBuy +60 card?

The SmartBuy +60 card is available to members aged 60 years and older.

It offers additional rewards and benefits as determined by the SmartBuy programme from time to time.


Terms & Conditions

  • SmartBuy membership is free.

  • SmartBuy Points may only be used within the SmartBuy loyalty programme and on qualifying purchases at participating stores.

  • SmartBuy Points have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash.

  • SmartBuy Points cannot be inherited, ceded, pledged, attached, or otherwise transferred by operation of law. SmartBuy Points remain a benefit of the SmartBuy loyalty programme and may only be used in accordance with the programme rules.

  • Points may not be sold, traded, or exchanged for value outside the SmartBuy programme.

  • SmartBuy Points can be earned, received from other members, purchased, or awarded through promotions and competitions.

  • SmartBuy Points may be transferred only between registered SmartBuy members.

  • Transfer fees, where applicable, will be displayed before the transfer is completed.

  • Members are responsible for ensuring that recipient details are correct before confirming a transfer.

  • Points cannot be transferred, redeemed, or reversed once a transfer has been successfully completed, except where required to correct a system error.

  • Woermann Brock shall not be liable for points transferred to an incorrect recipient due to information supplied by the sender.

  • Woermann Brock reserves the right to limit, suspend, or decline point transfers where fraud, abuse, unusual activity, or system misuse is suspected.

  • Woermann Brock reserves the right to amend, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the SmartBuy programme at any time.

  • Point earning rates, promotions, benefits, expiry dates, transfer fees, and programme rules may change without prior notice.

  • Woermann Brock reserves the right to reverse, cancel, or withhold points awarded in error or associated with refunded, cancelled, or fraudulent transactions.

  • Membership is limited to one active SmartBuy profile per mobile number.

  • Members are responsible for ensuring that their personal information remains accurate and up to date.

  • SmartBuy transaction records and balances maintained by the system shall be considered final in the event of any dispute.

  • Woermann Brock reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership where abuse, fraud, manipulation, or misuse of the programme is suspected.

  • Participation in competitions and promotions remains subject to the specific terms and conditions applicable to each promotion.
